Prime minister of New Zealand, Bill English announced today that the nz election day is set for September 23rd. For some of my, less knowable readers, New Zealand is a Parliamentary Democracy. Also a Common Wealth country meaning we are part of the British Empire. We celebrate Waitangi day (annually February 6th) which is like the fourth of July and etc... On February 6th Maori (nz natives) and British settlers signed a treaty in the town of waitangi to create peace and harmony, hence the name "The treaty of Waitangi) which was signed in 1840 so New Zealand has a young Government. Bill English wasn't the Actual elected leader at the previous election, in 2014 John key of the national party was voted in for a second term. Each term is four years and there is no law to say how many times an individual can be elected. However John key stepped down days after Donald Trump was Elected as the US president, claiming it was for " family reasons ". At an emergency party election The now former Minister for finance, Bill English was voted in by his peers and will remain as prime minister until September. New Zealand's major party's are; National, Labour, Greens, Nz first and the Maori party. Each leader has, well am extremely out there personality. Parliament has had it's fair share of humour in the debating chamber, let's just say. New Zealand is a fairly run country but like all countries it has its political flaws. We shall see what becomes of our beloved democracy this up coming election, SEPTEMBER 23RD 2017 (voting in nz is only open to anyone over the age of 18, is a residence or Citizen and has been consistently living in the country for the three months prior to the election day)

Trump's "Travel Ban"
The recently inaugurated US President, Donald Trump has issued a travel ban on seven Muslim orientated countries. Basically the ban states that anyone born in one of the seven targeted countries may not enter the United States Of America. The seven selected countries are; Sudan Iraq Syria Yemen Libya and Somalia. All of which have been immorally judged as "Terrorist prone" countries. Thousands have began protesting all around the world against President Trump and his Racist and Immoral Ban of Muslims. Trump intact fired an attorney yesterday for questioning his decisions. I personally believe that Mr Trump should NOT be in this position of presidency. This ban violates the rights of those affected and goes against the constitution that he swore to uphold and protect. This ban so far will be enforced for the next three months, refugees for four and Syrian refugees are indefinitely banned. This is disgusting. I have been spending my school holidays watching world news and it was heart breaking to see one woman's story. She had sold everything house and all to be with her son in america as she has no one back home in somalia. Unaware of the ban she bought the one-way ticket with the money she got selling everything and proceeded on. She was stopped and customs and was told about the ban. She began crying to the reporter saying "I have nothing to go back home to, or anyone. I have nothing, I just wanted to see my son. I sold my house and belongings to pay for my ticket!". This story was devastating and I know now she returned to nobody and nothing back in somalia last night. This is disgusting, people believe in the American dream and give up everything to get there but are being turned away at border security. When then ban is up they cannot afford to come back! It is also racism to claim that Muslim countries are "terrorist prone". And then say that it is not a ban in Muslims!? There is no danger in the countries of people arriving into the US. More Americans are killed every year by toddlers with guns than Terrorists. Stop taking action on other peoples gun and weapon situations and start with your own Trump! America has a seriously high rate of American based terror attacks in America than Muslims. The only one you can Actually claim was 9/11 other than that its Americans. The black people killed in that church those years back was by a white supermacist American. The fifty odd people shot in the Orlando gay night club was an act of an American. You men with power just chuck your weight around and claim your making America or the world great again. But America becoming great isn't about stopping immigration, building border walls or nuclear testing. No making America great again (if I were president) would be about Lowering improper use of guns, stamping out racism, destroying the wage gap and poverty! That is what will make america great again! You can have the most walls, money and pure Americans but America will still have poverty and violent crimes... Four years will pass and America will have just become isolated country with no immigration and trade. To make America really great again, #STOPTHEMUSLIMTRAVELBAN
