Islamic phobia

The following isn't just NZ politics it's international but I believe that even across the world I can take a stand to Islamic phobia, everything in this story is my own, not based on a true story but we can all agree it has happened before; So I wrote this in RST and Marie Fisher convinced me to upload it; "THE GIRL WITH THE FUNNY HAT" (by me) -she sat across from me in maths,the girl with the funny hat. This hat was long, black and covered her head. Only revealing her face... Didn't quite understand why at first but other kids would tease her, saying she had a bomb in her locker. Like I said, I didn't understand but it didn't seem to really get to her until she did it. Her name was Bethany, I knew this because she and her wealth were worshipped but deep down she was rotten. It was really hot that lunchtime, the sun glared down on anyone who dared walk under it.  I sat crossed legged in the shade, watching carefully. Bethany had gone up to the girl with the funny hat, trying to get her take it off but she didn't want to, so Bethany said " you're such a freak, take it off!" She lunged over and pulled the hat off the girl. The thick wrappings fell to the asphalt and Long black hair bounced softly onto her shoulders. The girl pushed Bethany to the ground and ran away hiding her face in shame. The girl didn't come to maths the next day. Bethany had told her older brother about being pushed over by a "terrorist". On her way to school Bethany's brother and some friends cornered her before she got to school. Some rumours say he had a baseball bat, others say it was a knife. I wish I knew then what I know now and prevented it. She was beaten,broken and defeated. But none of that could  prepare Mr&Mrs Kumar for what they would discover in their bathroom that night. They could bury the body, but not the pain that had driven their beautiful daughter to such an act. #DifferentGodSameLove

Housing minister? what a joke...

today Nick Smith (NZ housing minister) Announced in the west of the south coast, brand new luxury rest-homes will be built so they houses that the to-be residents live in can be given to those in need. now i have quite a bit to say on Hon, Smith's idea: There are families who have been on housing nZ's so called "Emergency list" for what is now 3-4 years! They have waited enough,they have been waiting years and in that time your only solution is to spend MORE money on luxury rest homes!? It better not be tax payers money you are using, but of course Mr Smith where ever shall you find the money? IN THE POCKETS OF HARD WORKING KIWI FAMILIES!!! This is disgusting and i am ashamed to be here and say you are our housing minister... We are a democratic country but i guess you and your parliament chums forgot that and the fact that we have a housing crisis nationally that is growing every day? Stop wasting money on things that can wait, what cannot wait is our nation of homeless people! It has gotten to such a point that everyone is fed up of your rubbish, we are Not putting up with this for Another year! #HousingMinister?WhatAJoke

What is "Brexit" & what do I think of it

Brexit is the slang for Britain exiting the EU. The Eu (European union) is  a group similar to the AU( African union) where most of the countries on the continent agree to have the same laws, they get free trade and basically "look after each other" it is well known that England in particular has thee loudest voice in the Eu and has always been treated better than some other countries. When you join the Eu you are supposed to change your currency to euros (€) but England was Allowed to keep the pound (£). On the 23rd of June 2016, Brittan held a democratic referendum to decide whether or not that should leave the Eu. Surprise surprise the results came back that they were to "Brexit". This of course is going to be a long process of up to four or five years worth. British foreign secretary Boris Johnson claims that it Is their " Independence day"! Independent from and organisation that has given them the best of what was available and was strongly influenced by them anyway! It is (in my opinion) outrageous for them to claim independence. How many countries celebrate their independence from England evey year!? America celebrates the fourth of July when they become an independent country and not a colony for his majesty the king! Ireland has had 800 years of oppression from them and still has six counties (northern Ireland) in the common wealth. The fact that there is even a common wealth idea say it all for me. I as an irish person find their claims very offensive. None the less an opportunity has arrived, we have waited since Michale Collins began the Anglo-irish treaty in 1922. If England was to leave, Ireland can have a shot of independence. A united Ireland is achievable from this stage of Brexit. As famous YouTube star Clare Cullen (Clisare) said, it could be called "IREXIT" northern Ireland exiting the common wealth. So all faults on the people who voted Brexit, many now say they regret it but it is too late. Britain will have countries leaving and they'll have to renegotiate trade agreements with the world as the Eu share one overall trade agreement. That is basically what brexit is and how I feel on it. I decided to posts about it because it has been in the news recently with Theresa may. All anger set aside, I wish England the best as they "make history".

TPPA?

In late 2015 the TPPA was brought forth into the New Zealand parliment chamber for discussion yet again. The TPPA (TRANS PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT) is an international free-trade agreement between 12 countries. The trade mainly states;The agreement cuts over 18,000 tariffs. Tariffs on all U.S. manufactured goods and almost all U.S. farm products would be eliminated completely, with most eliminations occurring immediately.According to the congressional law, TPP "would be the largest U.S. by trade flows ($905 billion in U.S. goods and services exports and $980 billion in imports in 2014)". The signatories represent roughly 40% of global GDP, and one-third of world trade. -(taken from legal copy of TPP). Many protested against the trade saying it would not benefit new Zealand as the risks of higher medical assistance would be probable and fear that the incomes would not economically benefit New Zealand but rather divide it. However the trade's first draft was signed by John Key (Former NZ prime minister) on the fourth of February last year. But many are now wondering what is going to become of the trade. America was pulling all the strings but recently inaugurated, President Trump has effectively cut off America's ties with the TPPA, meaning that America will no longer take part. China however intends to carry on with the trade. looking from a realistic view here in New Zealand it seem a little unlikely that the trade will continue on, or at least not in the draft formed by US President, Barack Obama. Many Kiwi's have been temporarily satisfied with the sudden halt and bump in the road of the TPPA. One can already see that this is going to be a big card for each party to play this upcoming NZ election, (September 33rd). What will become of John Key's beloved TPPA!?
